Fruits: Good or Bad
Everyone love fruits as they are sweet. Fruits are good for your health only if you choose them wisely. Fruits are loaded with fibre so helps in controlling sugar, cholesterol levels and also helpful in constipation.
Fruits are not only loaded with fibre but few are loaded with too much sugar. Few of fruits are restricted for diabetics, why ? Because they raise the blood sugar levels. Sugar is not as such present in the fruits it’s the carbohydrates that are converted into the glucose during digestion. Gylcemic index is a measure to check how quick a particular food increase blood sugar levels after consuming.
So if you are diabetic, calorie conscious or thinking about weight loss then keep the following fruits away:
