Heart is the main organ of the body, so you need to pay special attention to your heart. The only way to keep your heart healthy is a healthy food. Eating a heart friendly food is in your hands. There are some foods which are not good for your heart and some are good for your heart, so the only thing you have to do is chose wisely. Too much of fat is not good for your heart. Table salt is also not good for the health, the person who is suffering from the problem of high blood pressure are also supposed to take low salt diet. People suffering from high blood pressure are at a greater risk of developing heart problems. Too much fat intake can disturb your lipid profile. Unhealthy food can create cardio vascular problems.

Take high fibre foods to your diet. Eat raw fruits and vegetables. Eat whole grain cereals, beans and legumes etc. Flaxseed is another food which is good for your heart because it contains omega-3 fatty acids. You can ground the flaxseed to make the powder and then you can add this powder to curd, of in making muffins or chapattis.

Next food which is considered as heart friendly food is Oatmeal. Oats are also considered as a good food because they also contain omega-3 fatty acids, they also contain magnesium, potassium, niacin, folate, calcium and soluble fibre which is again good for heart.

Carrots are also good as they contain fibre and carotene.  Kidney beans are also good for your heart as they contain omega-3 fatty acids, folate, magnesium, niacin and B-complex vitamins. Almonds are also considered as heart friendly food because heart favourable fats MUFA and PUFA are present in this nut and they also contain omega-3 fatty acids and fibre also.

Chose brown rice instead of white rice as they are rich in B-complex vitamins, magnesium and fibre which is again good for your heart. Spinach, broccoli, blueberries, red bell peppers also comes under heart friendly foods. Oranges, tomatoes, asparagus, cantaloupe, papaya, chocolate and tea are some foods which possess some properties on the basis of which they are also considered as hear friendly foods.

Too much of fried snacks, junk foods, processed or preserved foods should be avoided. If you are already suffering from heart problem then try to reduce your fat intake and use low fat dairy products instead of full fat.

How you pick food for you matters a lot. Wise selection can make your heart healthy whereas false selection can make your heart sick also. Drink plenty of water as it will help to remove the toxins from your body.
